Hamburger Hill
Located in the A Shau valley near the Laotian border, Hamburger Hill (nickname for Ap Bia Mountain) was the site of a ferocious 10-day battle between the 101st Airborne Division and North Vietnamese forces. Highly fortified and riddled with bunkers, the hill was eventually taken on 20th May 1969 and was abandoned almost immediately.
